Information Profile: An up-to-date market profile of a targeted area (typically a convenience trade area) describing the key retail market opportunities. This profile can be used to define business choices, profile and test basic market viability, assist current retailers in addressing product mix so as to best address a changing customer base, inform and direct a strategy, or compare changes in a place.
- Timeline and Deliverables: Can be completed in 2-3 weeks depending on customer readiness to define the market trade area. Delivered in power point format with indicators and interpretation, and communicated during a conference call. Integration of local information and/or multiple commercial nodes or market areas available.
- Typical Customers: CDCs to define/refine strategy, developers to attract retailers, retailers to better profile customers, lenders/investors seeking to verify market or public entities to determine where best to deploy resources.
Assessment: An on the ground trade area assessment including a limited number of
interviews with key informants focusing on the viability and readiness for retail/commercial development and/or progress in implementing corridor improvement plans. LME can participate in meetings or strategy sessions as part of the presentation of the work.
- Timeline and Deliverables: Can be completed in 30 days, depending on client availability. Findings delivered in debrief meeting and a short narrative assessment.
- Typical Customers: CDCs or LISC Offices seeking a focused evaluation of a commercial or retail opportunity or challenge, investors or lenders that need an assessment of an existing under performing project or corridor, market stakeholders that need a tool for deciding best choices for where to begin a commercial strategy.
Assessment and Information Profile: Brings together both elements of the two products (above). The MetroEdge team will define the potential for retail/commercial as well as potential starting points for action.
- Timeline and Deliverables: Delivered in up to 45 days, depending on client schedule. Findings delivered in debrief meeting with analyses in power point format and a short narrative assessment.
Comprehensive Retail Scan: The comprehensive LME Retail Scan is an information and strategy tool that includes a detailed market analysis using national and local data; on the ground assessments of opportunities and challenges (via interviews, tours, secondary research); recommendations developed collaboratively with clients on priority strategies, techniques appropriate for market conditions, opportunities and challenges; and identification of specific early action steps for practitioners to provide commercial areas with immediate and visible impact.
- Timeline and Deliverables: Delivered in 4-6 months including 3-4 in-market visits, depending on client schedule. Findings and recommendations delivered during an in-person presentation.
